MICHAEL HAYDEN

A native resident of Newport Beach, California, Michael has been sailing and boating for a lifetime. He started in the marine industry as a sailing instructor over a quarter of a century ago, and has served as Delivery Captain for vessels on the West Coast and three Trans-Pacific crossings. He has also done extensive sailing in the Caribbean and Mediteranean.

Michael, a member of American Legion Yacht Club, owns an Ericson 35 foot sailboat and is known as an avid yachtsman and racing sailor in the Newport Beach area.

A yacht insurance broker since 1980, Michael started Hayden Insurance in 1988. His experience as both a yachtsman and a yacht insurance broker means that Michael can best place your yacht insurance with one of the top rated insurers.

GINA GLASSELL

Gina Glassell was born in Newport Beach. Her great grandfather Andrew Glassell VI was the co-founder of Orange County which lends to being very familiar with Newport Harbor and the surrounding areas history. Gina Glassell starting working with Michael Hayden approx. 15 years ago. She has been a licensed marine agent since 1997, specializing in Marine Insurance. Throughout the years of working with Hayden Insurance, she has become an avid boater who gets out on the water sailing or powerboating any chance she gets. In the last 2 years, she has been racing in the bay and ocean with Michael Hayden on his 35' Ericson "SV Havoc."

Gina's respect and love of the water makes being a marine insurance specialist the perfect job for her. As she can help her clients navigate the insurance waterways so they are properly protected and can enjoy where ever their journeys take them.

CHIP BISHOP

INSURANCE AGENT

In the marine industry for over thirty years, and has Operated a family owned 40' Chris Craft in the waters of Long Island Sound. Former active US Coast Guard and served aboard a 310' USCG Cutter as deckhand, and occasional helmsman operating in waters from Nova Scotia to Baltimore, Maryland. Was a first mate aboard an 82' motor yacht cruising from Newport Beach, CA to Ensenada, Mexico.

Chip was a ships store manager, and assistant purchasing agent at Lido Shipyard, Newport Beach, CA. His sailboat experience included selling, racing, and operating sailboats from 8' to 60'.

Marine business experience included operation and ownership of Chip Bishop Yacht Sales, and has been an insurance agent since 1986. He is very knowledgeable in all aspects of vessel safety, and looks forward to taking good care of the yacht owners that deal with him.

MARISSA McKENZIE

CUSTOMER SERVICE REP AND LICENSED AGENT

Marissa McKenzie has been with Hayden Insurance for 6yrs and is the "go to" girl.

Prior to Hayden Insurance was in the US Army, and did a tour in Iraq.

Marissa McKenzie is an avid boater, and spends every weekend on the water rain or shine.

Paul Maull IV

INSURANCE AGENT

Paul Maull IV has been an avid fisherman since he caught his first marlin at age 5 aboard the Gambler. Over the past 30 years his passion for the ocean and boating has gotten him into just about everything from working on local yachts to fishing tournaments around the world. An avid surfer, spear fisherman and paddler he enjoys as much time on the ocean and waterways as possible. A waterman with a real-estate background joining the crew at Hayden Insurance is a natural fit.
